Project Management

Project Management

IEPC’s primary goal is to execute a project that meets the Clients’ objectives for throughput capacity and quality of product. The detailed engineering and design phase is a key step delivering capital projects. We develop plans to ensure that the designs reflect Client requirements and facilitate construction of facilities meeting our Clients’ strategic objectives.

IEPC’s conceptual design capabilities align each project’s function, scope, cost and schedule with Client objectives to optimize project success. The conceptual design phase offers the best opportunity to assess business, commercial and technical risks; and to improve our Clients’ return on investment.

During conceptual design, we use our approach to deliver appropriate, cost-effective solutions, enhancing the value of Clients’ assets and increasing their long-term business success. This proprietary system begins with IEPC’s a collaborative work practice that engages a project’s multidisciplinary team members during development.

The FOCUS process:

  • Assigns accountability for services and material
  • Builds early consensus across all disciplines and functional areas
  • Connects each project activity and decision to the estimate
  • Details EPFC in a conceptual design report
  • Establishes a detailed estimate
  • Reduces the number of change orders
  • Solves the project’s issues prior to execution

Other conceptual design services include feasibility studies, project-development planning, technology evaluation and recommendations, modular construction options, risk-management assessment, global siting, financing planning, constructability reviews, asset and life-cycle optimization and front-end engineering.

As a result of decades of executing complex projects, our technical experts have developed innovative design solutions, some of which have been patented and being deployed on project

Integrated Services

Driving performance and efficiency with flexible solutions

IEPC Project Management can tackle your biggest development challenges.  Working in a scalable fashion that can encompass a single rig or entire assets, we can supplement an existing crew or manage the total project.  Whether on a time and materials or a lump-sum/turnkey basis, Project Management teams integrate health, safety and environmental core values into all business activities, striving to proactively meet regulatory requirements and mitigate risks to deliver predictable and economic results

Integrated Well Construction

Providing efficient, economical, and predictable well construction results

The purpose of every oil and gas well, regardless of complexity, is the cost-effective recovery of hydrocarbons. Efficient and economical well construction is a vital piece of this endeavor. Managing well construction projects requires a thorough understanding of all facets of the well

process, from geology to production, with the ability to integrate industry best practices and cutting edge oilfield technologies.

IEPC Project Management teams start with an extensive pre-planning process to fully understand the risks and objectives of each project.  Key to this approach is to collaborate with all stakeholders to fully understand each situation and then develop a solid design and an effective program for your well construction project.

Through the integration of IEPC expertise in all phases of well design and construction these teams utilize experience gained via a world-wide portfolio of operations to deliver predictable well construction results.

Integrated Completions

Using collaboration to ensure successful and predictable installations

Well completions provide either the means of delivering hydrocarbons from the reservoir to surface or for injecting fluids into the reservoir or disposal zone. But regardless of the purpose, reservoir conditions and the planned flow or injection rate must drive the design. Therefore it is

essential that the entire process, from concept to final installation, be a group effort between geologists, reservoir and production engineers, technology providers, and project management teams.

IEPC Project Management understands the complexities of proper well completions. The goal of these teams is to integrate the expertise and technology of IEPC service providers, originators of many of the technologies used in today’s advanced completion and stimulation processes, with solid design and installation processes to meet the well’s requirements.

Essential to this success is a thorough risk analysis and management process to identify potential problems and to develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact. The experience of IEPC Project Management teams, developed through a world-wide portfolio of operations, provide the knowledge required to deliver these installations in a predictable and successful manner.

Integrated Well Intervention

Minimizing risk in uncertain and unpredictable conditions

As a well matures workovers may become necessary and as it reaches the end of its productive life, economics may dictate the need to abandon the well. Each situation is different and IEPC Project Management has the expertise to develop and execute intervention plans that will best achieve your objectives.

IEPC Project Management can help you prepare for and efficiently manage workovers. We manage large workover portfolios on a multi-year basis worldwide in such locations as the Gulf of Mexico, South America, Eurasia, and the Middle East. In fact, we have earned a reputation for workover efficiency in the Middle East, where clients have some of the world’s largest workover needs

IEPC has developed and continues to develop new software, tools, and techniques that reduce the cost of abandonment operations, increase efficiency, and adhere to all regulations, including improving well integrity, securing formations. Experienced IEPC Plug and Abandonment specialists can minimize potential liability and costs, even when there are many unknowns providing you with barrier assurance.

IPM Sourcing

Increasing efficiency by managing logistics

Rigs can account for up to 35% of drilling costs and IEPC has strong relationships with rig contractors and can help you get the most appropriate rig for your project.

However, there is other equipment and resources necessary to ensure the success of a drilling project. IEPC Project Management can offer recommendations on other specialty items that might be required or help you secure other resources to complete your project.

Tangible Assets

IEPC Project Management can source tangible equipment for projects (tubulars and wellheads) and link with your current supply chain to ensure you maintain maximum leverage with your supply base, or we can source independently based upon your preference. IEPC’s line of premium casing attachments can be threaded and installed on casing as part of a complete package.

Onsite Services

IEPC has contractual agreements in place with providers of critical onsite services such as tubular running services, camp/life support services, fishing/rental tool providers, security and site construction.

Procurement Services

IEPC Project Management can provide procurement personnel to support specific projects and serve as the procurement department for a small operator/investor group.

Project Management Commercial Models

Providing solutions and applying industry leading safety processes

IEPC Project Management offers various service options depending on if you just need help coordinating projects, a full turnkey solution, or something inbetween.

For clients who want to make all financial and operational decisions themselves but still want the efficiencies that expert project management provides, IEPC offers project coordination under Integrated Services (IS) on a discrete services model, time and materials basis, or performance basis.

IEPC Integrated Project Management (IPM) services are for clients who want full turnkey solutions. The commercial models for IPM services range from time and materials to lump sum arrangements. Under lump sum arrangements, IEPC assumes the risk and commits to delivering the project on time and budget.allowing you to limit your financial risk.
