Stronger, more reliable cables
Our ultrahigh-strength wireline cables have a safe operating capacity of up to 23,000 lb of tension. This is enough to convey the heaviest of evaluation tool strings to depths in excess of 7 miles (11 km). The ultrahigh-strength cables also feature extreme crush resistance, making them the most reliable option available for wireline operations in deepwater wells.

A neutron-induced capture gamma-ray spectroscopy logging system, the GEM tool derives elemental contributions contained within the total measured gamma-ray energy spectrum.

Integrated with total porosity, we derive flushed zone water saturation, Sxo. Unlike other Sxo measurements, the water saturation from our dielectric measurement is not affected by water salinity, clay content, or rock textural parameters (m).

Pulsed Neutron Logging

Downhole Fluid Identification
Until now, downhole fluid analysis has been limited. Optical analyzers could tell you when your sample was pure enough to collect. Rarely could they tell you which fluid components were present and in what proportions. Understanding the fluid type, composition, and contamination is a critical part of formation testing. Drillstring Vibration Monitoring
Drillstring vibration is a major contributor to downhole tool failure. It may also cause hole damage and increase the need for more frequent rig repair. Timely detection and mitigation of downhole vibration is key to avoiding nonproductive time (NPT) and preventing equipment damage. With full knowledge of downhole dynamics conditions, effective changes can be made to the drilling parameters of weight-on-bit, rotary speed and flow rate to mitigate harmful vibration.

Wellbore Pressure Monitoring
Measurements of the annular pressure during drilling operations have many valuable applications. The tool provides accurate downhole measurement of static and dynamic pressures. Dynamic pressures include both the equivalent circulating density (ECD) and swab and surge pressures from pipe movement when making connections or tripping. Knowledge of these pressures helps to prevent damaging the formation by exceeding the fracture pressure or allowing pressures to drop too low allowing formation fluids to flow into the wellbore. The effectiveness of hole cleaning can be determined by measuring the cuttings build up in the drilling fluid. The occurrence of other drilling hazards can be identified such as shallow water flow events or the onset of annular pickoffs. The tool can also provide accurate leak-off test (LOT) and formation integrity test (FIT) data by measuring the pressure exerted on the formation, creating time savings as it is no longer necessary to circulate and condition the mud prior to the test taking place. Having accurate wellbore pressure measurements will prevent the occurrence of non-productive time events by providing an earlier warning that a problem is developing, allowing the mud system to be maintained in optimum condition to maximize ROP.
